The Science and Technology Parks Division at the University of Basrah for Oil and Gas is a specialized division dedicated to supporting innovation, technology transfer, and enhancing integration between scientific research and the needs of the industrial and technological sectors. The division seeks to build an integrated innovation ecosystem that brings together researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors, with the aim of transforming ideas and scientific research into applicable and marketable projects, technologies, and products, thereby supporting the national economy, especially in the fields of energy, technology, and innovation.

Technological Incubators Unit
- Incubating promising innovative projects submitted by students and researchers, and providing a suitable environment for their growth and development.
- Transforming entrepreneurial ideas into prototypes ready for development and industrial application.
- Providing technical, advisory, and guidance support to entrepreneurs to ensure project sustainability and enhance their chances of success.
Scientific Outputs Unit
- Establishing and managing the institutional digital repository for the university's scientific and research outputs.
- Archiving and managing digital knowledge assets in accordance with international academic standards, ensuring easy access, preservation, and retrieval.
- Marketing distinguished scientific outputs, enhancing technology transfer, and linking applied research with beneficiary entities in productive and developmental sectors.
Entrepreneurship Unit
- Spreading the culture of entrepreneurship and freelance work within the university environment and enhancing entrepreneurial thinking among students.
- Supporting entrepreneurial and startup projects through guidance, mentoring, and development programs in business administration and innovation.
- Organizing initiatives and programs that contribute to preparing a generation of entrepreneurs capable of establishing and managing small and medium enterprises.
Qualification and Employment Unit
- Aligning graduates' skills with labor market requirements and international professional standards, especially in the oil, gas, and energy sectors.
- Preparing students for professional life through specialized training programs and workshops simulating real work environments.
