About the Division
The University Counseling Division is a fundamental unit within the university, dedicated to providing psychological, academic, and social counseling services that support students and enhance the quality of their university life. The division aims to provide a safe and stimulating educational environment by offering individual and group consultations, supporting students in facing academic, psychological, and social challenges, and organizing awareness programs and workshops that contribute to developing their skills and reinforcing their moral and behavioral values.
The division seeks to establish a culture of university counseling, enhance mental health, and foster positive integration within the university community, thereby supporting students' academic and personal success, and contributing to building a stable and inclusive university environment.
Division Tasks
Key tasks and objectives of the University Counseling Division:
- Psychological and Educational Support: Providing individual and group psychological and educational counseling sessions to help students overcome psychological and social problems and enhance their ability to adapt to university life.
- Academic Counseling: Monitoring academically struggling students and providing the necessary guidance and counseling to improve their academic performance and develop their scientific and personal skills.
- Awareness and Guidance: Organizing seminars, workshops, and awareness programs in psychological, educational, cultural, and social fields, enhancing student awareness, and instilling positive behaviors.
- Diagnosis and Referral: Contributing to the early detection of psychological or behavioral problems and disorders, referring cases requiring specialized care to the appropriate authorities, and following up on cases when needed.
- Developing the University Environment: Promoting a culture of mental health and student well-being, and preparing periodic reports and statistics related to counseling cases, supporting decisions aimed at developing the university environment and improving the quality of services provided to students.
