About the Unit
The Organizational Structures Unit is an administrative entity reporting directly to the President of the University. It is tasked with organizing, developing, and reviewing organizational and administrative structures in accordance with applicable legislation, regulations, and instructions. This contributes to enhancing institutional performance efficiency and achieving the University's strategic objectives.
The Unit specializes in designing, updating, and preparing organizational structures for various departments and administrative divisions. It defines levels of authority, responsibility, and administrative reporting lines, ensuring clarity of tasks and specializations, minimizing overlap and duplication of work, and fostering coordination and integration across different university segments.
Furthermore, the Unit reviews and improves organizational structures to align with legislative and regulatory changes, as well as institutional quality and performance requirements. This ensures the optimal distribution of tasks and responsibilities, supports administrative workflows, and contributes to achieving university goals with efficiency and effectiveness.
Unit Tasks
- Studying and Designing Organizational Structures: Researching, preparing, and designing organizational structures for various university formations, including colleges, centers, and divisions reporting to the University Presidency, ensuring a clear, effective organizational framework that aligns with the nature of their respective functions and tasks.
- Defining Authorities and Responsibilities: Establishing levels of authority, responsibility, and administrative connections. Creating organizational charts that clarify the administrative hierarchy, chains of command, and reporting lines, while defining the specific responsibilities and administrative references for each unit and department.
- Achieving Organizational Harmony and Integration: Working to foster integration and coordination between various administrative units and divisions, reducing overlap or duplication in functions and tasks to enhance the fluidity of administrative work.
- Alignment with Legislative and Regulatory Developments: Reviewing and updating organizational structures to comply with the latest legal and legislative updates, instructions, and applicable regulations, while maintaining alignment with institutional quality and accreditation requirements.
- Enhancing Performance Efficiency and Productivity: Organizing and distributing tasks and specializations based on principles of expertise and efficiency, which contributes to improving institutional performance, optimizing resource utilization, and achieving university objectives efficiently, effectively, and on time.
