🏛️ About the Department:


The dormitories at the University of Basra for Oil and Gas were established by Ministerial Order No. 11/04/H 3068, dated November 4, 2024. Our university has given great importance to student housing, and this order was issued to provide a suitable environment for them, especially students from other provinces. This necessitates providing good and appropriate living conditions.


The dormitories have developed and entered a new phase, particularly in recent years, in line with current admission trends.

The Department of Dormitory Affairs at the University of Basra strives to be among the leading dormitory departments in Iraq. The department is determined to make its dormitory complexes a model for other universities to emulate.


✉️ Department Mission


The primary mission of the Dormitory Affairs Department is to receive students from the provinces accepted into undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Baghdad. The department provides them with suitable accommodation, along with all necessary amenities and services for their comfort and well-being, so they may become distinguished individuals capable of creativity and innovation in science and knowledge, serving our unified and new Iraq.


🎯 Department Objectives


These departments work diligently to care for their students by providing them with a suitable academic and psychological environment.


Preparing the necessary administrative staff to manage the departments.


The department communicates with governmental and non-governmental entities to support this directorate. It also maintains relationships with civil society organizations to secure material and moral support for students residing in these dormitories.


The department undertakes the following tasks:


1- Maintaining and equipping student dormitories with all essential materials before the start of the academic year.


2- Collecting dormitory fees paid by students with official receipts.


3- Performing regular maintenance on all dormitories and complexes.
